Welcome to my Artful Rambler website. I have always enjoyed photography and writing and here I can indulge in them both. My images have featured on the BBC Look North news programme and in many magazines and periodicals including the Arts & Minds quarterly newsletter, the Yorkshire Evening Post, The Dalesman and numerous online platforms.

I also run successful and well received workshops which combine Photography, Mindfulness and Nature to help improve my own and other peoples Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Life drawing starts at The Mill Gallery

The Mill Gallery staged it's first Life Drawing session of 2026 on Wednesday 21st January and I was delighted to be there as the official photographer. The model was Craig Dyson who can be followed on Instagram @tattooed_nude and who has been drawn by a previous winner of Sky Arts The Portrait Artist of The Year.

Fans flock to the "Fables" Exhibition at TMG

Friday the 9th January saw the opening night of the latest Art Exhibition to be held at The Mill Gallery. 2026 was welcomed in with a packed gallery enabling artists and invited guests to enjoy the unique atmosphere and surroundings which the West Leeds gallery is becoming famous for. Dennyfest - Victoria Hotel, Bradford

It is over 20 years since the magical music venue the Melborn in Bradford sadly closed down. Today saw "Dennyfest" held at the Victoria Hotel in Bradford which brought together a who's who of musicians and music fans who played or supported the Sunday afternoon "jam" sessions all those years ago. A fabulous afternoon and a massive thank you to all who were involved with creating such a memorable time.

As the rain poured outside the crowds poured in to day one of the Art House Art Fayre at the Leeds Corn Exchange today (6th Dec). Lazy Cover Art Studio completes cultural connection project.

Today (29th Nov) saw me cover the final workshop of the Cultural Connection project run by the amazing Lazy Cover Art Studio . Great to see all ages and nationalities enjoying a wonderful experience. The workshops are funded by Leeds City Council through the Leeds Cultural Investment Programme and it was attended by their manager Ann Wishart who was very impressed by all fun and learning that took place, Parental permission received.
